Battery state, cable connections, starter control, starter condition, security systems, gear-position inputs, and other electrical issues can prevent cranking. Testing voltage and current behavior is more useful than guessing at a starter.
Slow cranking points toward available electrical power or mechanical load

A jump start that works does not automatically prove the battery is bad
A jump adds electrical support to the system, but the underlying cause can still involve the battery, charging system, connections, parasitic draw, or another issue. Testing should follow.
Know when towing is the better option
If the vehicle cannot start reliably, has electrical burning smells, severe warning messages, or repeatedly stalls, transporting it to the shop can be safer than trying to keep it running.
